Multiple outputs- proper way to do it?
-
Hey guys,
I would like to set up my sampled instrument plugin (drums) to allow individual drum components to be outputted via separate outputs. I understand that HISE is currently limited to 8 stereo output channels (which I hope will be increased).I have 12 samplers which I would like to output to those 8 stereo channels, like this:
1- Kick
2- Snare
3- Hats
4- Toms
5- Ride
6- All Cymbals
7- Percussion
8- OtherI can see that in the routing matrix for each sampler there is 1 stereo pair on top with options to route it to the bottom 16 mono channels. Is this all I have to do? Eg. kick to 1/2, snare to 3/4, hats 5/6, tom 1 to 7/8, tom 2 to 7/8 etc....
What happens when a user loads the plugin within DAW? Will it output everything to stereo by default if all outputs are not enabled?
My master container shows only a stereo pair for HISE output where all the other channels are routed into. Do I need to be using HISE as a plugin in order to enable multiple outputs out of HISE?
Thank you.

@Christoph-Hart posted an example for me last year. You can probably find it pretty quick with the search.

Yes
