Stereo tremolo

  • I'm doing a stereo tremolo for my piano. Sounds beautiful, but when I try to change intensity to zero, it stays panned to left. (made with a simple gain module with a LFO for panning modulation). Any idea?

  • @hisefilo post a minimal example please

  • @d-healey this is it. also sound nice without partials 🙂

  • @d-healey heheeh 🙂

here it is, open the interface preview and use the knob (I want a knob that manages the tremolo intensity)

  • in this case yes: problem.

as i already use png filmstrip and not vector. for me: just creating an inversed knob. and set the default value to max (here 20 000) 😉

Note that: a tremolo effect affect also the volume.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremolo_(electronic_effect)

Better is create a global modulator (with LFO) and controling the volume and the pan of the gain module by the global LFO. Also in this case the gain module will have to be in the container with the wave generators (not the global FX). with global FX we can't use global modulator + lfo with the gain Fx (if i'm right).

but in this case the smoothing will affect the volume and the pan with the same manner. or keeping your settings but using 2 LFOs (1 for the volume and 1 for the pan) and maybe controlling them with one knob by custom callback.

For now it's just a stereo panner. But good job to find how to fix the "only" left volume by controlling the smoothing (and not the intensity as i did before). I spent time looking for the solution and I did not have it 😄

just ask to Christoph or David if there is a script to "reverse" the vector knob rotation...

  • @staiff yes you are right. Will be a stereo panner then I guess!

Figured out how to invert know... Just named it "Attenuate" 😛
