The worlds most annoying bug

@iamlamprey Strange indeed... Does it happen with an exported binary?

how i'd even start diagnosing this?
welcome to my world…
-
@iamlamprey Have you tested on another computer?

Yeah, with both plugins in Ableton and a standalone executable

I only have my main PC now (the second hand mac died pretty quick), I'll try and setup a macos VM later this week and test it, but it's such an intermittent problem, only rearing its annoying head every few days
-
This exact same issue has plagued me for a long time. i have made multiple posts about it
-
Yeah, I've had this happen to me really sporadically, when playing the keys, sometimes one note would hold until its tapped again. For me it happened most often when mashing some chords really fast.
-
I didn't realize this was affecting anyone other than me, nice to know i'm not going crazy
-
@iamlamprey nope AFAIK its been going on for a few years now
-
- Are any of you creating artificial notes, or in any (other) way create MIDI notes in your plugin?
- Do you have anything running in a real-time thread that shouldn't?
- Do you have all your MIDI interfaces disabled?
-
@clevername27 the video at the top is a blank project, the only interface is the main one which holds the keyboard floating tile
-
@iamlamprey Do you happen to have a MIDI manager/router/utility like MidiOx or equivalent running in the background?
-
@ustk No nothing like that but it does seem to be some sort of duplicate message being sent to HISE, the problem is how inconsistently it shows up so i can't really test for it reliably
-
@iamlamprey This is very strange, and I imagine very frustrating. Perhaps @Christoph-Hart has an idea.
