Alright, I added the modifier keys:

event.isShiftDown
event.isAltDown
event.isCmdDown
event.itCtrlDown

BTW, if you call setValue() with a Panel, the controlCallback isn't executed automatically (to prevent recursive loops). You need to call Panel.changed() to execute the control callback.

To implement keyboard playing like you find in DAWs, might there be a way to get the current keyboard layout as well? I'll specify that I want to use the (PC) keyboard to set the current chord in a plugin, not play a MIDI note directly.

Not that I'm aware of, but you could setup some predefined ones and let the user pick.
