In the latest build (0.99, build 647), Hise is unusable because it get stuck on the "Preset folder missing" message. It keeps popping up.

What can I do to fix that?

      Here's a picture of what I see: http://tinypic.com/r/e66k4m/9

      Thank you!

        Welcome Pierre!

This message pops up until you have created a project folder, after that it should never bother you again. Just call File -> Create New Project.

HISE uses a project folder as reference that contains all files related to the project. You can read up more about this here:

        http://178.62.82.76:4567/topic/73/project-management

It remembers the active project so once you have chosen a project folder, this weirdo won't ever pop up again, which is why I have forgotten about it. But I'll fix this and add a "create new project" wizard for the first start up.

Great! Got it now! :) It was though because the warning message kept popping up, so I had to fight my way through the menu to create my project.

          Thank you!

Yes, I just replaced it with a warm welcome message - getting screamed at with a big red cross is certainly not the best first load experience :)

              Hi Christoph.

I just downloaded HISE and the big red cross with the old message still appears. :)

              Regards,
              Manuel Duque

Yes, I didn't upload a new build yet. I'll have to compile it from the latest GitHub commit for you - what OS do you need?

This build doesn't seem to have any difference between save and save as

If your Master Chain has still the default name, then File->Save will ask for a better name, rename it and saves it. File -> Save As as always asks for another name, renames the master chain and saves it to another file. So the differences are subtle but existing :)
