      This only seems to happen on MacOS. If you open your plugin and press the spacebar, Reaper will start playback - not usually a problem, unless you're trying to edit the name of a preset or do anything on the plugin UI that requires you to type in text and use the spacebar.

        @d-healey

        I have the same issue...

        But it's not limited to HISE plugins.

        It also happens with Surge.

        I think it may be a Reaper issue.

          It happens in Logic as well

            Hmmm so it seems like a DAW issue, what can we do about it?

              It seems to me that if the host is controlling keyboard input and passing it along to the plugin, it would be up to the DAW to not start/stop playback when a text window is opened in the plugin.

              At least, that's what makes sense to me.

              Thoughts?

                For Reaper, you can change shortcut behaviour.

                1 -For plugins you can send all keyboard input to the plugin ( this is done by FX menu.)

                2- You can set the shortcut scope to global, normal and global+text field (this is done by actions - edit shortcut )
