Solved Copy and Paste UI Elements - Is there a way?
-
@d-healey really nice tip on your Copy Script Videos. Always great to learn a feature!!! i had been copying each of tabs of my script processors. this is making a few projects way easier. Blessings!!!
To all, is there a way to copy and paste a knob or a button? Example: a have a knob that has a custom filmstrip and sizing. If I want 10 of the same button design duplicated? Is that possible some way? Or do they each need to be manually set up?
Thanks!!!

@WaterSpoon Select the button and press J. Copy what appears to your other button.

@WaterSpoon I think you can just use Control/Command + D to duplicate the knob/button.

I copy and paste, position exactly ( manually) TO SIT ExACTLY IN TOP OF THE OTHER, important! (dont unselect) go to the component list, you will see that button selected in green, move it to the desired (panel) if you using panels or wherever you wanted to be, that's it

I think he wants to copy between projects

@d-healey Ahhh, I misunderstood.

@d-healey This works!!! The J pulls up the code and it can be copied to other buttons. across projects to. The only note is it will duplicate your position as well so it newly copied knob will be on top of the original (if your looking fot it, LOL) . so change that before hitting apply or drag the dupe away. Thank you!!! Thank you for your help and feedback!!!
