Hise don't work as aspected anymore, multiple problems
-
@HISEnberg Hise crash when try to compile your snippet, I have tried in both: new projet and old project
-
@Mighty23 Yea it sounds like there is an issue with your project, you may need to rebuild HISE. You may need to confirm what system you are running on, if you are building off the right versions of VS or Xcode (whether your Mac or Windows or Linux), etc. and if you have imported a compatible version of faust for your system.
https://github.com/christophhart/HISE/tree/develop/tools/faust
Also, its probably worth doing some more research on building HISE and familiarizing yourself with the environemnt, checking out the tutorials on Youtube and github, learning scriptnode before going straight to embedding faust files and expecting it to work.
-
@HISEnberg I'm using last develop version compiled on windows .
Why do you assume there is an issue with the project if the errors are on a "clean" version of the project? Sorry for the question, I'm trying to understand
-
@Mighty23 I say that merely from the other issues you have posted, especially if the modules like gain, delay, etc. are not working.
However, once you manage to compile a FX network (try something even simpler like just a Dry/Wet) you will also need to populate the front interface with content. Once that's done, export the project and try it in your DAW.
If something as simple as this isn't working in your HISE project then it certainly sounds like it hasn't been compiled right:

@HISEnberg Thanks for this. I've compiled and tested in DAW, No problems here
-
@Mighty23 Cool, so try replicating the dry/wet in scriptnode now (or any other network) and see if you experience any issues.
-
@HISEnberg I can confidently say, after having recompiled HISE and tested in the previous hours, that the problem is limited only to Script Nodes containing core.faust. I have successfully compiled and tested in both OsX and Windows (VS2022 & XCode 14 last stable build) and tested in Studio One. Right now I'm looking at the tutorials found in the forum on how to compile Script Node + Faust but I can't find any differences with my workflow. I think I should open a new topic and consider this resolved, even if the errors (with Faust) remain.
Thank you for the time you have dedicated to me.
-
@Mighty23 No problem. One thing worth trying, and it exists somewhere on the forum, is the version of Faust you pulled from. It might be worth going to an older version of Faust just to make sure.
-
@HISEnberg Now I'm in Faust 2.72.14, Is there a specific version I should consider?
-
@Mighty23 It sounds like it is up to date, this is forum post and github repo I was referring to:
https://forum.hise.audio/topic/6746/updated-build-instructions
-
@HISEnberg
From the post:
"Compile this configuration. HISE will have a text label in the top bar indicating that Faust is enabled."
Done.
"Then you just need to add the directory of the Faust installation to your HISE settings under FaustPath so that it can find the Faust libraries and you're good to go."
Done.So I can assume that the error is in my workflow
