      Ok here's a strange one ....

      In my instrument the first note played is excessively (about 6 db) too loud, second and subsequent notes are fine... but if you wait for all notes to decay and end then press a note again this "overloud" reappears...

      • I've removed fx limiters, fiddled with envelopes nothing seems to make a difference - I cant think what it is....

      Anyone had this?

        just curious, does your project have a midi player in it? i had a lot of trouble with stuck notes and it was related to midi playback

          nope no midi player...

          ..I'm begining to suspect my Compressor implementation...

            Do you see additional voices being triggered for that first note?

                @Lindon Is it playing samples? I've experienced this when I accidentally had 2 samples (of the same sample) layered on top of one another. So, if you are using samples, double check all your sample maps. It would explain the 6db increase, as that is the double gain of the same sample duplicated.

                    @d-healey I think I've tracked it down --- its a Faust compressor with some very specific settings.... SO I will have to build a new compressor....
