Compiling macOS Components and VST3 Doesn't Put Them in the Project Folder

…it puts them in the ~Library folder. Where is that set, please?
-
~Users/<yourname>/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components (and VST3)

@Lindon Thanks - I do understand that - I mean why isn't HISE putting them in the project folder?

It never has. Given there are only 2 places that you can put plugins on the Mac I guess its doing this transfer for you....
Obviously on Windows the VST3 can go anywhere the user likes, so as HISE doesn't know this location, it puts the plugins in the project structure.

It shouldn't - https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/115000177084-VST-plug-in-locations-on-Windows
In a recent commit of HISE Christoph removed the copy step so it should no longer be moving the plugin files automatically (although this might only apply on the latest MacOS version I'm not sure).

I can confirm. I'm using Sonoma 14.3.1, and the compiled plugins are now located inside the project folder. That was a good surprise :)
