Audio / DSP - how to start
-
Hey guys. I am sorry for this noob question, but as i am comming from csound, i literally have no idea how to use HISE to create a simple Audio Effect like a Reverb (not that it is simple, but i asume one can use the prebuild one here). How do i start? I managed to create a synth and a sampler already with HISE, but with Audio, i really dont have a clue. Would you be so kind to point me into the right direction? Thank you so much !

Probably want to start by reading the scriptnode docs - https://docs.hise.audio/scriptnode/index.html

Yes, and thank you for your tutorials btw. Would you by any chance have a simple example for me on how to set up everything? To be completely frank with you, i need examples in order to completely understand the workflow.
Thank you very much!

@Ben-Catman Read everything at the link I provided. There are 3 tutorials there that walk you through your first scriptnode patches.

@Ben-Catman Here's a HISE Snippet for a simple reverb. This is not script node, this is the default reverb module that comes with HISE. You can load this by copying the snippet, opening HISE, and going to File > Import HISE Snippet. HISE is the best, hope you enjoy the journey.

@Ben-Catman Is Cubase looking in the correct location? Did you compile it as an effect or instrument?

if you are on windows - did you move it from the Binaries/Compiled/VST3 folder in your project to the system VST3 folder?
