      Hey Gang,

I've noticed its easy to lose your presets currently being worked on by accidently clicking another. Is there a way can implement a "Preset Popup Warning" Box that asks users if they are sure they want to change presets? At best this popup only displays when values of a selected preset or the initial patch were changed.

        @trillbilly

There are plug-ins that ask with every small change of a parameter during a preset change whether the change should be saved.

        And

There are plug-ins that do not do this.

        Personally, I prefer the latter.
There's nothing I hate more than when a pop-up constantly pops up when I'm trying to find a sound (preset changes and cutoff changes, for example).

If I consciously make a change and want to save the preset - then I save it.

        My opinion :-)

Fortunately, of the hundreds of plug-ins I have, very few do this.

Technically, this can certainly be implemented in HISE.
Perhaps a selection option for the user would be good.

@MikeB Yes, can get annoying for sure.

I'd like it to pop up when the user attempts to change a preset ONLY if the values have been changed from the original preset state.

What do you mean by "Selection Option"? As in allow user to determine if they want the popup or not? Or is this some type of HISE Function im unaware of?

@MikeB Hey Mike, I'm circling back to this as it's one of the last things on my list. You mentioned it's definitely possible. Could you point me to a snippet or anything? It would be super appreciated.

@trillbilly Sorry - I'm not at the computer.
But I was referring to a video by David on the subject of presets and preset storage. Have a look at YouTube or his Patreon. Or just ask him.

@d-healey Hey David, I'm just not getting back to this issue. Could you point me in the direction that @MikeB is referring too? It would be super helpful and appreciated!

@trillbilly I don't know a method to do that. I think you'd need a prePresetSave callback or something which doesn't exist.
