F4 doesn't comment the line anymore
-
@d-healey Nope, there's no line about commenting
-
@d-healey But there's no mention to recompiling script with F5 either, although it works
-
@ustk HISE works in mysterious ways :baby_angel:
-
@d-healey I wonder if this could be related to my recent update toward Big Sur
It's a very handy feature you don't notice, but it becomes considerably annoying once it's gone -
@ustk It probably broke when Christoph re-did the shortcut system. It also broke some others for me, such as ctrl+d not duplicating items on the canvas. (The F4 commenting doesn't work for me either, but I don't know if it ever did because I never knew it was a thing)
-
@d-healey And CMD+D works on mac, let's make a deal !
-
@d-healey said in F4 doesn't comment the line anymore:
...but I don't know if it ever did because I never knew it was a thing)
How could you live without till now ???
-
@ustk I've remapped it to Cmd+
#
(on my German keyboard, the key next to the return key) as I kept hitting it every time I wanted to compile the script. This is also the default on Sublime Text and VS Code (I think). -
@Christoph-Hart Ah ok ! annoying on my french keyboard, # is the first top-left key in caps so it makes it cmd+shift+# with twisty fingers here...
Is there a way to make customisable via the shortcut window?
EDIT: not the first top, it's 2nd row...
-
Nice! Does it also work for block comments?
-
@d-healey Nope, it just adds single line comment and removes it if it's already commented using advanced AI tech (
if(line.startsWith("//")
).But sure I can make that assignable like some of the other key shortcuts.
-
@Christoph-Hart I've just seen the commit, trying to build now.. Effectively it would be really nice to get block a comment shortcut
-
@ustk Not the feature you asked for but you can use the toggle comment with multiple cursors to comment multiple lines at once:
