I am trying to install the precompiled binary for HISE 3.0.0 on macOS Montery running on ARM. Within the installer, I receive the error message: "HISE can’t be installed on this computer."

Any ideas on how I overcome this?

@clevername27 I suspect the build isn't notarized so gate keeper is blocking it. There is probably a way to tell gatekeeper to let it through, I would guess the setting is in Security and Privacy.

@d-healey This is an ARM issue, not a security issue. Until you have rebuilt your installer, I would suggest simply making the payloads (HISE application, VST plugin and AU plugin) directly downloadable.

@clevername27 I think there is a processor requirement limitation in the Packages installer that isn't set to the Apple Silicon or Any CPU, there is nothing to do on your end for this.

But if you want to use the latest Hise features, alternatively you can download the source code and compile it yourself. Also with this way you will be preparing your computer for the plugin exporting.

            • Download the develop branch from here: https://github.com/christophhart/HISE/tree/develop

            • Follow this great tutorial by @d-healey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeLeCSNh0XM

            • Don't forget to disable IPP before compiling Hise and plugins on Apple Silicon.

@orange oops you‘re right I forgot to change this for the HISE installer. Time for 3.0.1…

@orange Thank you, yes that's it. As for accessing the builds, you can simply unzip the (existing) installation package.
