      We have compressor, limiter and gate effects as dynamics procesing.
      Can we add Expander fx too, please? @Christoph-Hart An expander is opposite of the compressor.

        Couldn't we add this effect to HISE please, it's just an opposite of a compressor.
        I mean volume will not be - dB, it will + dB.

        Since we have a nice compressor, it can be modified with that and expander fx can be created.... @Christoph-Hart

          If you use compressor ratios below 1.0, you have your expander. However be really careful, as you approach zero, things start to get nasty!

            @christoph-hart Hmm, sounds cool. and very very nasty :) Despite Compressor Ratio can't be under 1.0 value on effect's original gui; a knob can be assigned and can be used under 1.0 value. Very clever.
            If I need to expand my signal with "1 : 2.74" expander ratio value; what it would be in compressor under 1.0 value?

              Type 1 / 2.74 into a calculator :)

                @christoph-hart "1/2.74" or "1 - 1 /2.74" ? :)

                  1 - 1 / x would make the world explode if x is 1, so that's rather unlikely.
