Changing Sample Maps resets Sampler Audio Routings
-
Changing Sample Maps is resetting my audio routings.
-
@crd try to record your sample Card with your root. (I don't think the problem comes from there but you never know)
-
@yall I'm sorry I don't understand that. What's a sample card?

I think he meant sample map. I believe the routing is saved inside the sample map.

@d-healey I haven't looked too hard in the sample map xml but I am not seeing it. I do see mic position etc but it seems like the routing should belong to the sampler itself. I could script the routing to correspond to the sampler's samplemap but I don't remember needing to do that in other projects before.

@d-healey Yes . sorry. Google translation ..

Yep you're correct. It's just the number of channels not the routing config.
Couldn't you add a routing matrix FX and do the routing there instead of in the sampler's routing table?
-
@d-healey I could if I rebuilt my project differently. Changing the layout would mean changing all my sample map/gain staging logic etc so I would like to avoid it especially because this seems to be a bug.

Yes I would think the routing shouldn't change if the number of channels doesn't change.
