In the last 35 years I have never had a programm that crashes as often as HISE.
HISE crashes at the slightest change of a number and subsequent compile.
Every error leads to a crash instead of a message in the console.
No matter which version on Scriptnode, Master or Develop.

      Am I the only one?

      Mac 10.14.6

I rarely get crashes, unless it's a single bug that I'm able to retrigger. Sometimes a script will trigger a crash but I'm usually able to figure out what I did wrong pretty quickly (HISE really shouldn't crash on script errors but sometimes it does). Often it's just that I forgot a semi-colon in a long piece of code that runs in on init.

This sounds like there is a problem with your specific project that is causing the crash. Could be a problem with your script or presets, or a bug in HISE.

@d-healey I Guess Mike Has Many Version Of Hise Built On Using At The Same Time On His System.
He Showes A Screenshot Of His Mac Toolbar, And He Had 3/4 Versions Docked Into The Bar.

@MikeB Before Switching Between Hise Builts, It Is More Safe To Clear Your Hise Appdata Folders (Not Remember The Name On Mac)
It Will Clear The Caches And Hise Wont Get Refuse On Version You Opened And Its Data Files.

Oh you should try Unreal Engine or old Blender versions for instant crashes
:D A lot of work for devs to fix anything.

Yesterday my actual project crashed right after compiling succesfully,
using master branch. That was weird..

                  Windows 10
                  VS 2017

Edit: Compiled again and it worked without crashing.
I've tried to use a jpg for my GUI before but changed it back to png.
Maybe this was causing my crash.

From what I've seen on the forum it seems that having more than one copy of the HISE source code on your system is the number #1 thing that causes people issues.

Keep only one copy of the source code and use git to switch between branches if you need to.

@d-healey 🤣🤣 The Funny Part To Me Wqs That Mike Did Some Changes On The Icon Of Hise Standalone 🤣 Like It Is Adobe Apps.

No @MikeB That's Not How Hise Handles Things.
It Shares Folders In background, And I Believe Having all Of Them On Your Mac Can Causes Confusion For Hise Engine.
Just Keep The One You Use Often, And Get Rid Of The Other Ones, Also Save Some Space.
                      Each Built Has 1.3 Gb.

@MikeB - so it seems the problems you are having are problems you have introduced, as @d-healey and @natan says - the golden rule is:

only one instance of HISE on a machine at any given time....
