After Effects Knob Design Getting Started with Color Glow Customization
-
Thanks @Rudra-Ghosh Good Job :)
Can You Add A Pan Knob To This ? -
@Natan Flat Design Knob Pan.zip Here it is. :)

@Rudra-Ghosh You Rock Man :)
Thank You So Much -
@Natan :)

@Rudra-Ghosh This looks rather dashing! Do you then export a filmstrip in this case? Could you do a Lottie export or is the glow customization getting in the way?
-
Do you then export a filmstrip in this case?
@UrsBollhalder
Yeah. Later I use Sheeteah Sprite Sheet Tools to export FilmStrip from After Effects. If I use 3D package like C4D, Maya, 3DS max or Houdini I use my own created C# Image Stitching program.Could you do a Lottie export
I am not a big fan of Lottie or rather I can say I never tried lottie that extreme.
-
Really, can you export a filmstrip from Houdini?? I don't have it or use it myself... but I've seen some fantastic stuff online made with it!
-
For image stitching, Waves Factory Stip Generator is my favourite.

Just export as image sequence (from C4D, After Effects, 3DS Max, Houdini, Maya...etc. doesn't matter) and open these image sequences inside this tool then stitch :)

https://g200kg.github.io/knobman3d/ the best ;)

You can use Bodymovin to export as Lottie from After fx.

@UrsBollhalder Hmm why not ? If you want to make fancy VFX style Fire or water simulation and if you wanna use it in your plugins interface you can use Houdini or Maya. Process is same -> Same as C4D or blender etc. Only advantage of Houdini is it is procedural and node based.
Yeah @orange is right you can use Waves Factory Strip Generator. It is beautiful. Once I used to develop plugins in SynthEdit ,Code Block C++ and DSP Robotics Flowstone. That time I created my simple Image(Png and Jpg) Stitching program written in C#.
-
@orange That's what I use as well if I am making my own knobs... Really nice tool... but it has its days and mood swings!
-
@Rudra-Ghosh Sorry for bothering you further... What do you mean by "Only advantage of Houdini is it is procedural and node based"??? I am actually thinking of integrating some smoke, fire, water stuff and that's how I found Houdini... ut I might just wait a moment and see how OpenGL is playing out in HISE. Because that is much more interesting than just filmstrips and their "one-dimensional" behaviour...
-
@lalalandsynth I actually really like lottie. THere's not too much stuff available that is not illustrative but more art-based if that makes sense... For now, I've just done LAF and Lottie (that sounds nice!). Not too much a fan of 3d via filmstrip etc. I don't think that is the future. But more in the direction of OpenGL... or just stay with paint routines, LAF and occasional simple Lottie!

@UrsBollhalder Houdini is node based . All (Modelling to texturing, lighting) procedural approach that you will not find in any other piece of software. And you can do VFX kind of things real easy in Houdini.
