Midi Channel List - names not showing
-
@gorangrooves Are you sure it's not a styling thing? Like the text is white.
-
@d-healey I don't think so. Have a look on the right, in the settings. I tried changing all of that. It used to show just fine, but no more. I also tried adding a new floating panel with MidiChannelList and the same happens. No matter what you set, the names don't show up.
-
Which version of HISE are you using?
This is how the MIDI channel list looks in the latest version without changing any settings (ignore the weird font issue!):
-
@d-healey That's not what i get. I have the latest scriptnode branch.
I will be creating a blank project to see what i get. I don't understand what went wrong here . -
@d-healey I played around with it and here is what I discovered.
When the font is set to "default", the text doesn't show up, but when you specify the font, it shows up. Then when you revert to default, it stays, but as soon as you refresh the interface, it disappears. So, the only way to keep it there is to specify the font for the tile, which didn't use to be the case.@Christoph-Hart This is a bug.
-
This issue affects not only the Midi Channel List, but other floating tiles as well. The text does not show up if it is left on "default".
-
I didn't change fonts.
-
Do you have the font specified on the onInit?
-
@gorangrooves Nope. I made a new project, added the floating tile, and posted the screenshot.
-
Well, this is some weird kaka. I did the same thing and I am not getting the text to show. It used to just fine, but not the newer HISE. Neither existing projects nor a brand new blank project show text if it is set to "default".
-
Have you used the Look and Feel stuff?
-
No. I heard of it, but I haven't looked at it.
-
How many copies of the HISE source code do you have on your system?
-
I have 6. I have the proper HISE directory selected in preferences.
-
@gorangrooves Dave's first law states "The more copies of the source code you have on your system the more forum posts you will make" :) You only need one copy + git.
-
I am never sure a new version is going to work, so I keep the others for a backup. I will delete all of the older ones, but I don't see how it will fix things. I may have to recompile HISE and see what happens.
-
@gorangrooves This the "why" of git ;)
-
Yeah. I am yet to acquaint myself properly with it. We'll see whether recompiling HISE solves this issue. I will report back.
