Standalone asks for Microphone Access
-
For some reason whenever I open a newly exported standalone version of my plugin, it prompts the user for microphone access. Has anyone else encountered this?
-
@Lunacy-Audio It basically wan't access to your audio 'input', but for some reason can't ask for it properly! Encounter this frequently
-
Why does standalone need audio input access? Shouldn't it just need midi?
-
Is the standalone exported as FX? since an FX has inputs this might be the cause...
-
The standalone is not exported as FX. It should need just MIDI input, so it doesn't really make sense.

Check your .jucer project

Hmm, that was disabled, but seems like a good starting point. I'll dig through the HISE / JUCE code a bit and see if I can find anything.
-
I wouldn't care for it too much. I can imagine that when you want to access the CoreAudio driver, it will just enable microphone input by default and trying to find out why this the case is rather annoying.

I guess it's not as creepy as I originally thought haha. Will report back if I figure anything out. I see some other JUCE forum posts about this too, so it's not terribly uncommon.
