Using Blender for Knob filmstrip
-
it's going to be awesome. I will be able for example to output a video in image and put it back in hise via an automatic button ^^ how many images maximum can support a button?
-
-
@d-healey sorry I was talking on a film strip. I know that 220 works but I haven't tried +
-
@yall I usually use 128 for knobs , unless you want to load an animation of some sort ?
-
@yall 220 is going to eat up your RAM (especially if supporting 4K). I usually use 64.
-
@lalalandsynth it was a theoretical question. It might be interesting to transform a 20 second video into a strip film .. it would make a lot of images but if the format is small maybe it can do it ^^ I will try out of curiosity
-
@yall It doesn't matter what format you use it will be uncompressed into memory as a RAW bitmap. - https://forum.hise.audio/topic/1806/filmstrip-size-limit/8
-
@yall well 20 seconds will be 300 frames at 15 frames per sec , and 500 at 25 frames.
A knob is about 70- 128 and upwards so . -
@lalalandsynth what is the best format for images? I use png but maybe we can find a way to compress as much as possible without deteriorating the quality too much. Could it make the vst smoother? under windows no problem even super heavy vst have no problem but on mac with a basic configuration they are slower ...

If you want to export knobs in Photoshop I recommend this: https://lancethackeray.com/downloads/psknob-photoshop-script/
