New Layout System is coming...

Just a little teaser of the new layout system:
You can basically build fully responsive workspaces for different design phases (this is a workspace for interface design obviously), but I'll add modules for sample editing and patch building. The days of scrolling around in the container viewport are finally over :)

Ah, is the existing layout going to be gone, then? I only ask because I'm almost finished with a six-page tutorial on HISE for Computer Music magazine and I'll need to redo it before submitting it if that's the case.

I tried to keep the old interface as much for convenience but add the new layout as extension. In fact, I recreated the old interface with the new layout system as "Main Workspace", but now you can add new layouts and create your own like the ones posted above.
You can also use this layout system for designing the user interface for your plugin by combining multiple script interfaces with ready made and customizable modules like a settings window, a preset browser and so on.
When do you plan on releasing the tutorial? If you want, I could take a look at it and provide you with some information in case you want to cover the new layout possibilities.

Thanks for the info. I'll grab the new version when it's up tomorrow and see if I need to rework anything. Will the new version need to be built from source or will it be available as an installer? To keep it simple, I've advised the readers to use the installer rather than building it from source (as that's beyond the scope of our tutorial). The article needs to be submitted ASAP once I finish it. I'd love to have you give it a look if there is time, though. I'll ask the editor about it. Keep up the excellent work on HISE. It's really terrific!
