I was wondering why I couldn't get sound out of HISE standalone, even when the master container meter was showing activity. Turns out it doesn't apply the audio driver settings I set up in the preferences.

Thanks for reporting this. I'll look into it.

It stores the settings as XML file here:

        %APPDATA%/HISE/DeviceSettings.xml.

        Could you post this file?

          Thanks for quick response.

The file you mentioned is located in %appdata%\Roaming\Hart Instruments\

the file contains the following lines:

It seems like you are using a slightly outdated version (I recently changed the location for this file since the last build version). I think I fixed some stuff related to audio driver issues since then so perhaps it's already fixed.

I'll upload a new build the next days (or you can try to build it yourself using the video tutorial by @d-healey ...

I uploaded a new build here:

                HISE Build Windows 04_04_2017

(It's just the standalone app file for x64, if you need the 32bit version let me know).

Can you check if the problem persists, and if yes upload a debug log by following these steps:

                1. Tools -> Enable Debug Logging
                2. Repeat what you did in the gif
                3. Click on "Stop and Show file" (bottom right above the keyboard) and upload the log file here.

                Thanks!
