The video in the bootcamp about building HISE on Windows will show you how to build HISE on Windows. If you want to know other stuff that's covered by the other videos then you can watch them too.

@duma Are you using Visual Studio 2026?
-
@David-Healey what exact components do i download for VS2026
-
@duma nvm i got it

@David-Healey does buffer size contribute to latency or off beatness in vst whe exoported and in daw??

Do you mean the buffer size in the sampler settings? If so then - no, this is the amount of each wav file the sampler holds in memory, so there is no waiting for disk reads to load and play each sound when requested
-
@Lindon does it effect lag or caus any lag in any way??
-
@duma No, its there to avoid lag, by compensating for slow disks....increasing it will put more of each sample in memory(so you will use more memory) but allow you to use a slower disk.
-
@Lindon well a higher buffer can cause a noticeable lag between pressing a key on your midi keyboard and hearing the note trigger. Assuming we're talking about audio interface buffer size.

see above - Im talking about Sample Settings Buffer size....not audio interface buffer size...
-
@Lindon ah got it, carry on
-
@Lindon
im talking about these setings i wanna make it so that it doesnt make my laptop lag (cpu lag not latency) -
@duma So am I....this will not solve your lag problems if its in your code... you can try increasing the buffer size if you think your laptop disk is slow...but in any case follow David's instructions.
-
@duma The buffer settings look fine but the timestretching adds latency.
-
@David-Healey i tried exporting i knew it would effectc my export if i updaed to a newer version

-
@duma Did you compile the latest version of HISE?
-
@David-Healey Yes I did
