HISE MIDI FX
-
Well, it works when I compile it as VST2 MIDI FX. But doesn't work as any VST3 plugin and VST2 other than MIDI FX. I don't know what's wrong with HISE, VST or on my side. But that's really strange.

could you tell me, please, which version of HISE and VST3 SDK do you have?
Always use the SDK that is included with the HISE source code. I build from my fork's "development" branch.

@David-Healey well, I did so. I don't understand why VST3 MIDI Out doesn't work, and VST2 works only with MIDI FX (but at least it works).

@David-Healey yes

@si1n3rd Send me the plugin you compiled
-

@si1n3rd Yeah your plugin isn't working here. Is it exactly the same as the project you posted earlier or have you made changes? Any change at all?
-
@David-Healey I tried it as well just because I happened to be passing by....and it brought up another question that i've been having (doesnt open for me either btw). Why does it unzip as a folder and not a .vst3 file?
-
@David-Healey yes
-
@Chazrox but inside that folder you have DDC.vst3 folder, don't you? I have noticed that different programs unpack zip archives differently.

VST3 format is a bundle format (a folder containing files). It should also be a bundle on Windows but isn't because we're using an old version of JUCE I think.

Can you make a video showing your full process, including all the settings you're using?
-
@David-Healey actually it shows up as bundle but still looks like a folder and doesnt have .vst suffix and I suspect its not allowing the DAW to see the plugin. Been having this problem with the last few demos i've sent out. Wasnt that way before, just started happening.

After all struggling I've decided to switch to pure C++ VST3 programming.
