@d-healey
Downloading the Hise source code from the dev branch of Hise 4.1.0 via GitHub -
@DJJD12345 Use git instead as I show in the video.
-
@d-healey
Did that, and it still shows the same thing in the terminal. -

Check this list and tell me if this is what you did.

- Used
git cloneto download the HISE source code - From the terminal used
cdto enter the HISE source code directory - Used
git checkout developto switch to the develop branch - Compiled HISE
-
@d-healey

@David-Healey I get this when running git log like you told me
cd /Users/djjdwatson/Documents/HISE-4.1.0 djjdwatson@DJJDs-MacBook-Air HISE-4.1.0 % git log fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git djjdwatson@DJJDs-MacBook-Air HISE-4.1.0 % -

That means you didn't use
git cloneto download the source code.Start over, remove all copies of HISE and the HISE source code from your system. Then make a video showing me the full process you are following.
-

djjdwatson@DJJDs-MacBook-Air ~ % cd /Users/djjdwatson/Documents/HISE-4.1.0 djjdwatson@DJJDs-MacBook-Air HISE-4.1.0 % git branch fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git djjdwatson@DJJDs-MacBook-Air HISE-4.1.0 % git checkout fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git djjdwatson@DJJDs-MacBook-Air HISE-4.1.0 % -

Yes none of those will work because it's not a git repo.

You need to use the version that comes with HISE. It's been customised.
-
@David-Healey
What do you mean by "has been customized"? -

Christoph has modified it, that's why it's included with the HISE source code.
