Check this list and tell me if this is what you did.

            • Removed all previous copies of HISE and the HISE source code from your system
            • Used git clone to download the HISE source code
            • From the terminal used cd to enter the HISE source code directory
            • Used git checkout develop to switch to the develop branch
            • Compiled HISE

@DJJD12345 Are you using the develop branch? Hise uses xcbeautify for a little while now...

He said Hise uses xcbeautify and xcpretty for a little while. Why?

Excellent. So now when you run git log in that folder what do you see?

So how do I do that in the Hise source code folder? What terminal command is it?

@DJJD12345 cd into the folder, just like when you checked out the develop branch, but instead of running git checkout... run git log

@David-Healey I get this when running git log like you told me

                        cd /Users/djjdwatson/Documents/HISE-4.1.0
                        djjdwatson@DJJDs-MacBook-Air HISE-4.1.0 % git log
fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

That means you didn't use git clone to download the source code.

Start over, remove all copies of HISE and the HISE source code from your system. Then make a video showing me the full process you are following.

@David-Healey Also, got an error with git branch and git checkout.

Yes none of those will work because it's not a git repo.

You need to use the version that comes with HISE. It's been customised.

Christoph has modified it, that's why it's included with the HISE source code.
