I think it's super easy, but as with all operating systems it depends on your familiarity with it.

@d-healey familiar enough with linux distros, but not audio related stuff on linux. I must admit the only reason i use windows 10 is because i bought tons of plugins over the years and im now kinda stuck with it. I have a pinebook pro laptop thats about it, but it's arm processor. What do plugins even look like on linux and how do you package them.

@ospfeigrp VST2 plugins have a .so extension, VST3 plugins have a .vst3 extension. Plugins compiled on an ARM processor aren't compatible with x86 processors, but I guess you knew that.
