How do you bus multiple sampler outputs together?
-
There's something I'm not quite getting.
Let's say I have two samplers - Kick and snare.
The kick sampler has 16 outputs.
The snare sampler has 16 outputs.I want to take outputs 1+2 of each sampler... and bus them together.
I want to take outputs 3+4 of each sampler... and buss them together.
etc etc...I don't quite know how to do this within the module tree??

@Orvillain What about using a couple of routing matrix effects?
-
@d-healey Hmmmm. So would I use one of these on each Sampler, with all of the samplers being in the same container???
-
@Orvillain In the example above I am using 2 in a single sampler, you would need to add 1 per channel pair you want to combine. However it could be I'm misunderstanding what you want to do.

Crappy ChatGPT diagram.
I want multiple samplers. I want their corresponding matching outputs to all join together.
-
@Orvillain Ah I see, that will happen automatically. All channel pairs travel together until they meet a routing matrix that redirects them or they hit the output which is usually stereo - so as long as your master out is stereo there is nothing you need to do.
-
Maybe I'm not explaining very clearly.
Yes, I want to do what you say, sum the outputs together. But I want an audio bus that I can access and put effects on, and control the pan and the gain, etc.
So I want one point where all sampler 1+2 outputs converge, which I could then put a compressor on. A separate point where all sampler 3+4 outputs converge, which I could then put a reverb on. And they wouldn't interact with each other at all.
And then all of these busses get summed at the master out.

Ahhhhhhhh. Got it. Okay, I get it now. Nice one.
