How to Do Drum Machine Style Sample Transitions?
-
Can anyone share a method for fading single-shot samples for drum samples? I'll post the final solution on the forum for all.
EDIT: SOLUTION IN THE COMMENTS.
Specifically: Say a snare sample is playing (i.e., decaying), and the snare is triggered again, before the first sample ends. Instead of simply stopping the first sample, and then playing the second, we begin a quick-fade of the first when the second one begins.
Configuration: I'm using a separate plugin (with a single sampler) for each instrument, which should simplify things.
What I've got so far: I've set up this routing, but beyond that (including scripting), I'm a little lost, especially as to the most efficient way to do this.
Code: If there's an example on the forum, please point me.
Cheers.

I believe this is what the choke group processor is for, although I've not used it.

@d-healey Thanks as always, David. Based on your reply, I found this example from the documentation, which is perfect:

Some info in this thread too which might be useful (might already be covered in the docs of course) https://forum.hise.audio/topic/6609/choke-group-processor
