Convolution Predelay

Hey!

I’ve noticed in scriptnode that the convolution predelay doesn’t really function. The max is 1000 Ms but when I put it at 1000 Ms, it doesn’t really sound like it’s working. I can hear a small predelay about 50 ms, but it seems to cap after that, anyone know what’s up?

Another question about damping, when I turn the damping knob while playing a sounds, there are abrupt pop-like noises which occur, is there a way to smoothen it out?

Just put a delay node in front of the convolution node then, this will get you much better control anyways.

No, it has to recalculate the IR and this introduces discontinuities in the audio signal. It's a take-it-or-leave-it feature.
