Problems debugging in Visual Studio

So seperate thread to not cloud the actual issue in my program..so Im having some problems with VS2022.

I do the following:

Compile my plugin with Compile with Debugging Symbols flag set ON.
open VS 2020.
Select a project or solution - select the sln file...
run Local Windows Debugger > it builds my project and starts reaper...
I load my plugin in reaper...
Do the things to make it crash - it does....and VS tells me an exception has been thrown...
VS now tells me .pdb not loaded
I browse for the .pdb file, select it and VS tells me:

What am I doing wrong?
