Compilation error
-
@d-healey I installed HISE in a location where there are no foreign characters (including Korean), no special characters, and only English case. I put the samples in the samples folder and its subfolders in my plugin project folder and compressed them with HLAC monolith. I unzipped the HISE source code archive to the folder where I installed HISE.exe (creating a subfolder with the source code inside the HISE folder) and installed various SDKs (asio sdk, vst3 sdk) in it. Everything up to this point was done on drive D. Then I installed the community version of visual studio 2017 on drive C, which is the default installation location (I don't remember the exact location), and that's when I stopped getting the error message about the version of visual studio. After that, I kept getting nothing but compilation errors, so I was doing nothing, and now I'm looking for help. I used a translator, so it may be inaccurate.

What is the path to the HISE source code folder? Can you show a screenshot?

@PLSEI1124 That looks correct. What link did you download the source code from? Have you tried compiling HISE yet? If not that should be the first step.
-
@d-healey i downloaded HISE source code in github. I'll try compile HISE.

Yes but which download link did you use?
-
-
@d-healey It just finished compiling, but there were 7 errors in the compilation process that prevented it from finishing properly.
korean text "소스 파일 컴파일 중"in image means "source file compiling" -
@PLSEI1124 This is for compiling HISE?
-
@d-healey Yes.
-
@PLSEI1124 Really need to see a screen recording of your entire process from downloading the source code to trying to build HISE so I can see if there is anything being missed.
-
@PLSEI1124 I see there is error about Faust, have you set the Faust path in the project?
-
@ulrik He's compiling HISE ;)
-
@d-healey If so, do I need to delete and re-download the source code?
-
@PLSEI1124 Yeah that's a good idea, start completely fresh
-
@d-healey Okay, i will try that.

@d-healey As soon as I started visual studio, the recording program ended and I lost the file. I'm sorry I can't show you the process. This time, I got an error message that there was no faust-related file, and the process was exactly the same as last time.

@PLSEI1124 Have you followed the instructions in my video for building HISE on Windows?
