Keyboard MIDI playing caveats

when playing the keyboard via the text keyboard on OSX, there are error beeps when a non note key is struck
when any knob is adjusted the focus is removed from the MIDI playback and thus tweaking adjustments to the sound becomes cumbersome.
It is useful to be able to work fluidly without needing an external device.

Yeah, getting the keyboard focus right is incredibly annoying (especially when also dealing with text input things like code editors, etc). I wouldn't count on it being fixed in the foreseeable future...
