Can someone clarify the AU format?

As far as I can tell AUv2 does not have midi out but I am a bit confused here. Does AUv2 have midi out if its compiled as midifx ? If so has anyone done that?

We are trying to get an Auv3 to work, mainly because we need the midi out.
Its technically/ functionally working but crashes on any popups and there are UI resize issues as well.

Our plugin works fine as vst2 and 3 but we need Au for logic so I dont mind if that particular au does not have midi out for other daws, they can use vst.

Seeing that i am not a mac nor logic user, can anyone enlighten me , does auv2 have midi out if compiled as midifx and used only in logic ?
