Noise to Modulation?

Hey i am wondering what the best way for an organic random modulation in scriptnode is. The thing is Noise has a very high level so i its not that easy to use to modulate things.
Any ideas? I was thingking about an osc that changes waveforms which are then smoothed out but i think this eats too much performance does it? -
