Layout is depreciated
-
Hey there..newbie here! I finally got HISE to compile on my M1 Pro MacBook Pro using the Development branch and Xcode 13.2.1(thanks to searching through this forum!) but now when I open I get this "Layout Is Depreciated" error popup:
Pressing "Cancel" Crashes HISE
Pressing "OK" Gives me this error popup:
Which allows HISE to open...but I don't have any access to the scripting layout or have any of the toolbar workspace options in the top toolbar section:
everything else appears to be working outside of this...it does the same thing in the Debug version as well. I have deleted the HISE folder from my Library/application support....Not really sure what else to do...again Im on an M1 Pro MacBook Pro and I compiled using the Dev Branch because the Release version kept failing...Thanks for the help!

That sometimes happens when going from an old version of HISE to a more recent version.
-
@d-healey yea I installed the original 2018 HISE from this site months back when I got this computer only to realize that that wasn't the official current version that I needed...so the answer I need at the moment is..."How do I fix it?"
-
@johnmike It should only give you that popup once, after you click ok and exist HISE it should overwrite the old settings. If for some reason it's not overwriting the old ones you can just delete the HISE config folder - I don't know where that is on MacOS.
-
@d-healey I trashed the HISE folder in my Application support....Same thing...
HISE opens and looks like this...
-
@johnmike That's how it should look. Now make a new project. Then go to File >> new.
Or if you are already in a project open one of the project files (either XML or .hip)

@d-healey Got it its working now I can see the script editor...now what do I do to see this on my toolbar?
cause currently it's not there just a blank space
-
@johnmike The toolbar should look like this
-
@d-healey it does...so those extra icons that are in my other screenshot...are they from a previous update? I grabbed that screenshot from one of your videos
-
@johnmike Yes that's from an old version.

@d-healey gotcha! thanks!
