AU Errors In Logic & Garageband
-
So I've successfully built an instrument with HISE.
I've sent it out to a few users to test. The instrument seems to work well in all DAWs expect Logic and Garageband
I've gotten back the following feedback:
User #1 Using:
Big Sur 11.4 with Logic 10.7Getting "Failed to load audio unit" error
User #2 Using:
macOS Monterey M1 Max with Logic proPlugin dose not get found by Logic
User #3 using:
iMac running 10.13.6
GarageBand version is 10.3.5Plugin loads but dose not work. Can't use any of the functions
User #4:
Macbook M1 with Logic
Plugin dose not get found.I also tested myself in Logic and garageband on Macbook M1and neither find the AU plugin even though it is in the correct folder
My plugin files are signed and work in every other major DAW without errors. Logic and Garageband seem to be the only ones spitting out various errors. I tried troubleshooting myself by re-exporting out of HISE and re-signing but can't find the clear root issue.
I'm wondering, did I miss something in the preferences file when I exported the AU? Is there an extra step I'm supposed to take to get audio units to work in Logic? Has anyone else experienced issues with Audio Units?

@kameron If you control one or more plugin parameters' values with another parameter (for example a knob controls other knob or a button controls others...etc.), then
isMetaParameter
must be enabled for the dedicated controls. Otherwise AU plugin validation will fail on LPX.
