      Hey All,

So I have issues with plugins giving "Malicious Software" warnings on Apple. Here is the message.

“ Numb.component” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information. "

I have codesigned and checked via "codesign -vvv/FileLocation" which states the plugin is codesigned and meets requirements.

Im codesigning only the VST3 and AU files, then zipping with the .HR1 samples file, and uploading to my server. Is there a different way I should be saving my files for customers?

        What about notarization?

@orange I was informed that codesigning should suffice if I am not using installers.

For your system yes, Big Sur and above needs the plugins code signed even for testing your plugin.

But for other computers, notarization is required.

EDIT: silly me I was thinking Monterey... Well I'm lost anyway I just made a major upgrade to Catalina. I've never been so close to have the last version 🤣

Can't help pressing F5 in the forum...
