      @Christoph-Hart If you set the layer not to draw on the parent, then the "not masked" colour is blended with the background colour. Except if it is black...

      The star should stay green (from the masked rectangle)

        @ustk Have you tried the different blend modes that are available?

          @UrsBollhalder I thought I could but the BlendLayer has no effect (I took the blend mode strings from the shader source code) so I just use a simple layer where you don't have the hand on the blending mode...

          Can't help pressing F5 in the forum...

            @ustk Ah ok... I thought those blend modes were available for the paint methods as well and not just the shaders...
