@lalalandsynth why not make a bass synth that has all of those things suggested?

A few more ideas for a synth:

                • Legato
                • Factory preset library
                • Custom preset browser
                • Displays instead of value popups and maybe a main display
                • X-Y pads (with gamepad compatibilty)
                • Digital+Analog layering
                • Various saturation modes for character
                • Automation inside the plugin
                • Undo/Redo function

X-Y Controller in FL Studio has this feature. You can connect a gamepad to
control with a joystick and this is useful for perform fx (I wish I could use both joysticks for two pads) :D

                    b419bb0d-e8b3-468c-8c3d-e540fb79d936-grafik.png

Analog Dreams for Kontakt has A and B layers, one for digital sound and one for analog. There was another plugin with something like this but I can't find it.
An example is mixing a synth with a sampler.

                    c9404d2e-1153-4bb9-8f25-6b53bf8a8db1-grafik.png
Massive is a good example for how to "automate" the sound.
You can easily connect an env or lfo to a knob.

                    8e9ce06e-a5a3-4def-99f0-b4e6c1ddca20-grafik.png
                    An option for real automation
Something like the clips in FL, but better.
(Changing the affected parameter should be easier)
But you can create those clips for almost anything.
I use this in any production to make my music become alive.

More power as just using env and lfo :)
Of course I could stick with the DAW but imagine...

Except for the layering possibly, I don't think we'll have those features.

And X-Y pads without gamepad are also fine.

XY is possible but not gamepad integration.

@d-healey This is why it's written in brackets.
Not a priority, but a welcome feature to me.

@UD-AUDIO @d-healey I think a custom preset browser would be really cool and useful for a lot of people

@DanH You're right! Imagine people saying:
oh look at this preset browser!
the plugins x,y,z are also using it. guess they use the same tool to build it

Would like to go fully custom, at least with visible elements.

This browser is really useful to me:
                                9efbd807-aad6-44bd-8cc5-062993e043c8-grafik.png c17e76b3-0674-4bb3-88ba-380f2a61a560-grafik.png

It also has a list, which opens by clicking the preset name on top. (never used it)
Just an example of my personal taste. Wouldn't clone this one-to-one,
but I would like something similiar to this for the synth.

@d-healey Nothing wrong with that. It's just a bit like a watermark.
But one with a pretty good design :)
I like the one we have, but the search bar is to wide, depending on the font and fontsize you are using.

I'm still not sure what we're making, a synth? We need a bullet list of features and functionality - keep it simple.

Because it gets complicated by itself :-)
