keyboard show value

  • hello, how can I display a text by pressing a key on the keyboard? I would like to create something that displays the note you press. for example you press on the DO and you have the letter C displayed?
    It seems unnecessary but I know many who do not know how to do the logic A B C D E F G .... here's a very stupid thing but if someone can help me it's cool 🙂

  • @d-healey
    great thanks, last question, how to assign this in a label?

  • @yall Probably label.set("text", value);

  • @d-healey said in keyboard show value:

    label.set("text", value);

    impossible 😞

  • 😂 thank u 🙂

  • @d-healey I used that too - works great. But I can't get it to show a chord, for example all three notes. D F# A for D Major

  • @Mike That's more complicated

  • @d-healey ohh ohhh when you say it, it doesn't sound good 🙂
    Really, so complicated. I watched all your videos at Patreon but unfortunately I can't get any further here.

  • @Mike You need to use an array or midilist to keep track of which notes are held.

  • @d-healey unfortunately I can't find any examples about midilist - not even on your Patreon page.

  • @Mike I haven't made any videos about it.

    Here's some info - https://docs.hise.audio/scripting/scripting-api/midilist/index.html

    There's also a little bit about it at the end of this doc - https://forum.hise.audio/topic/79/scripting-best-practices/2
