Can you script a button to control a key on the piano?

I'd like to have a button, that when clicked, acts as a note trigger for C3. Is anyone familiar with a way of achieving this?

@Natanr Yep, that's the right idea. I want to connect the buttons to the piano roll so that when I click and hold on one of the buttons it triggers the corresponding note in the sampler module. Do you know how I can modify this snippet to do that?
