Making a slider that controls a samplers tuning....?

Hey guys,
I've had a good few attempts at trying to make a knob that can change the tuning of a sampler module with no luck
I'm actually trying to make any of the following:
i. A knob that controls the fine tuning of the sampler - In cents
or
ii. A knob that controls the tuning of the sampler - In semitonesAny thoughts?

But how do we link it to a sampler module?

@d-healey noticed that there's sampler1.pitch but not sure how to control this via a knob.....
Or do I just whack your script within the midi section of the sampler for it to work?

Just add it to the sampler's midi processor section. Here's an example with sine wave generators:
