Hey everyone. I apologize if I've broken any rules since I am pretty tired. This is my first post here so be gentle lol.

Is there a way to access the Spectrum Analyser ON/OFF button via the UI? I know it's super easy to right-click on the draggableFilterPanel to choose it from a context menu. However, I already have a lot of cross functionality between knob controls and the panel control. So I feel it's a tiny bit more consistent of me to also want a button for that feature. Seems the one item that you can't just switch on and off with a button (in my findings thus far) is the EQ's built in Spectrum Analyser. It kind of makes no sense to me.

      Anyway, thanks in advance!

@jonthecomposer After the Parametric EQ you’re using, add another Parametric EQ and enable Spectrum analysis in it. Turn off the Spectrum analyzer in the first Parametric EQ.

With a button, you can easily bypass the second Parametric EQ you added. This way you can also turn the analyses on and off.

@resonant Thank you for the reply. I actually tried that before posting this. (Note: DFP here = draggableFilterPanel) I stacked two DFPs on top of each other and paired them with separate EQs, turning one's FFT on and leaving it without controls and behind the actual EQ's DFP so that clicking on the EQ DFP doesn't affect or allow for a context menu on the FFT DFP. Then, I simply coded a button to set the FFT DSP to visible = false to "turn off" the FFT. It worked fine with one huge exception: you still have the context menu in the EQ DFP. So if the user forgets the second panel is there and right-clicks to bring up the EQ's FFT, you end up with the FFT from the EQ DFP stacked on top of the FFT showing on the FFT DFP. For this case, I would need a way to turn off the original EQ's ability to turn its FFT on in its context menu so that only the FFT from the FFT DFP could show. And then I end up right back where I started needing a way to do that outside of the context menu.

On the other hand, if there isn't a way to get and ensure only a single controlled instance of the FFT can happen regardless of method, I can just specify somewhere on the plugin that one needs to access it from the context menu.

@jonthecomposer Here's a very simple way to cheat it. You could also use custom look and feel.

@David-Healey Thank you!!! It must get old being "the man" here lol. But wow. That is amazingly simple and it totally works for what I want. I really do learn from these snippets as every other issue in my plugin was fixed just by searching the docs and forums. I forced myself to learn on my own, so I really had to weigh the time I've spent against the "ok, I've looked long enough" thing. Again, many thanks and much appreciation!
