How to Fix Filters not working on DAW as they do on HISE
-
@David-Healey In the project is the filter diagram showing the filter moving and changing tempo as u move the dot on the xypad around?
-
@duma No, but I also see a bunch of errors

-
@David-Healey Then its your version of HIse most likely, I was on the newest ver and the filter didint pulsate or the diagram didnt show motion but when i went back to 4.0 it did do the motion type thing on the filter, can u explain the errors as well tho

Load the snippet into a fresh instance of HISE, do you see the errors?
-
-
@duma You're importing the snippet you pasted here, not opening the project you already have saved, correct?
-
@David-Healey Yep, do you want me to send a video? of me importing?
-
@duma That's fine, just wanted to confirm. The errors are on these
LFOModulator1.setFrequency(value);
LFOModulator2.setFrequency(value);
etc.As far as I know
setFrequencyisn't a valid function so I'm not sure why you're not seeing an error. -
-
@duma You have the Console hidden
-
@David-Healey Yeah no theres errors but what do they have to do with the actual VST Filter-Pulsating when I export it out of hise
-
@duma Not sure, but it can't hurt to fix them
-
@David-Healey Im kind of oblivious on how to exactly fix them, will it hurt if we skip that step orrr..
-
@duma The errors mean your code doesn't work. It means your plugin won't work properly either...
-
@duma this is not a function that exist in Hise
LFOModulator1.setFrequency(value)You need to use the "setAttribute" method like this
LFOModulator1.setAttribute(LFOModulator1.Frequency, value); -
@ulrik Thank you
-
@David-Healey I've fixed the code with the help of @ulrik, what do we do next to determine the root of the problem we've been trying to solve
-
@duma I think it might require a preprocessor, I'll check when I'm back at my computer
-
Ok maybe there's a bug in the current version of HISE.
@duma In this snippet, for me, the filter is not being modulated - let me know if is modulated for you in your old version of HISE.
Adding the filter at the sound generator level the modulation works, but in the master chain like in this snippet it fails.
