Changes Not Saving in HISE Project After Reopening
-
I’m having trouble getting changes to save in my HISE project. I open my project called Nebula in the HISE application and make a simple change - adding a container below the master chain, as shown in the video.
According to the HISE documentation, these changes should be saved automatically when I close the project. However, when I reopen the Nebula project, the changes are gone.
What am I missing here? Please see the video for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OcLpcWa1xOb1UzKedZukSmn00v_6L5Lq/view?usp=sharing
Thank you!

Which documentation?
You need to save the project XML to save changes to the UI or module tree.

@David-Healey Thanks for the response. Looking back, it was actually from a forum post: https://forum.hise.audio/topic/170/how-to-save-project .
Okay, so I saved the XML to the XMLPresetBackups folder. When I open the project up, I loaded in the xml file from that folder, and the master chain is renamed to the XML name. I am assuming I can save multiple xml files for different versions according to save xml documentation?

Try to only use one xml per project. If you need to track different versions use git. For little test patches you should use project presets (.hip).
