I need a sustain trick
-
the beginning of the samples is ok. But how to increase the sustain volume? So that the beginning of the samples remains unchanged?
I tried playing the same sample in 2 samplers at the same time so that the sample in sampler1 is set to sample start 0 seconds and the sample in sampler2 is set to sample start 5 seconds. But it seems that this was not a good idea or can I play the same sample simultaneously in 2 samplers with different sample starts?

@Robert-Puza You can use the gain envelope in the sample editor.
-
@d-healey ok. thank you. And can I play the same sample simultaneously in 2 samplers with different sample starts?
or do I have to create a copy of the sample so that it can have a different sample start?
This way I would have the sustain available independently.. and I can only adjust and effect the sustain. That's my reason.
original sustain + edited sustain

Yes but you need to add
Engine.allowDuplicateSamples(false);
in on init - yesfalse
, I know it makes no sense :p -
@d-healey I'll take a look. Thank you.

@d-healey Doesn't it make sense to work with sustain like this?
-
@d-healey should I write that in SampleMaps/..xml?

That's up to you, every project is different.

@d-healey It makes sense. You will hear it.
The current communication regarding multisamplers and Christoph's recent tip about harmonic filters has taken me to a whole new level. I already have a sustain separately in another sampler and I used Harmonic Filter + Random Modulator for sustain. I'll make a short recording. You should hear that.
