@d-healey I don't know if you mean from the git hub repo when you say from source. but yes I downloaded hise from the git hub.

Did you download the prebuilt binary or the source code and compiled it yourself?

You need to compile hise yourself,
the exe version of hise that you can download cannot create vsts.You will have to uninstall HISE and compile it yourself. David Healy has a video called how to compile hise. It's on youtube.
You don't need to delete your projects, just need to Uninstall HISE and rebuild it yourself.

@griffinboy Hi I download everything again while following the instruction of the compilation video. but it still does the same thing. it closes and gives me a compilation error. its showing this error before I don't know if it is the cause of the problem.

@DobleDot23 That's not an error, it's telling you that it has created a batch file to run the compilation for you
