Weird issues with large sample map

@Lindon I ended up splitting the sample map into 3, I was still getting some issues (reported elsewhere on the forum) but I was able to compress them to monoliths and after that the issues went away.
yeah sadly Im not going to be able to do that - as the user wants 8+ articulations to be loaded at once - and I get the feeling we will be pushing the boundaries of No of samplers - given just how complex and large their sample maps will likely be... I guess I will wait and see.

That's no problem (I have about 15 in my current project), just use multiple samplers. The only annoying thing is you have to duplicate the module chain.

yes thats my current plan, so each articulation in its own sampler, but then their are up to 8 mic positions, and numerous round robins - the whole thing gets very big very quickly.....
As to the module chain - I will be utilising a builder as much as possible this time out...

each articulation in its own sampler,
Does each articulation require a different mod chain?

no not really - oh hang on actually yes - they each need their own AHDSR...
-
@Lindon As long as only one articulation per sampler needs to be active at a time then that's no problem. Each of my articulations have their own envelope settings and velocity curve, I switch them dynamically when the articulation changes.
-
@d-healey yep thats my plan, but the legatos are an additional thing(sampler) to factor in...
-
@Lindon Could probably put them all in a single sampler
-
@d-healey oh maybe - not every articulation has legato ------ possible - nice idea.

@d-healey I had similar issues, including inability to adjust sample properties, samples not playing back, and other weirdness, when some of my samples were mapped using a different path than the project folder.
I have a soft simlink called "WIP Libraries" in my home directory that I access all my projects through. Some samples were loaded with their canonical path and not through the link.
