DraggableFilter - Prevent band enable when clicking on disabled band

I've been digging through the source (mainly in hi_core/hi_components/audio_components/EqComponent.cpp) and can't find where this behaviour is coded.

Basically when you disable a band in the parametric eq and then click on the node it enables the band again. I don't want this to enable the band again.

Does anyone have any ideas where this lies? I've changed a bunch of stuff successfully in this file but this one is eluding me!!
